Once again, my drawing a day has arrived after midnight. I guess I'll just say I started these on Tuesday. That way I am the early bird.

Well, off to go eat some worms...or sleep.

Drawing a Day #1

Without trying to sound too gung-ho (given that I've been known to be flakier than Hot Pocket with leprosy) I have decided to put this blog to more active use and post a drawing a day. I won't guarantee the quality of each picture will be consistent, but I will try my darndest to have one every day.

This was supposed to be for Monday and it's already after midnight. Off to a great start!!!

24-Hour comic cavalcade of crappery.

The idea of a 24-hour comic is simple; a bunch of people get together in a room and each conceptualize, write and draw a 24 page long story in the span of a day. Averaging a page an hour is no easy task, but still mine and many others' masochistic nature draw us to it every time.

I've done four 24-hour comic book events in the past two years and not once have I completed the full amount of pages in the allotted time.

Here are my four incomplete stories for your reading enjoyment/ children's punishment.

"24-Hour Bear Comic"
"Boys Vs. Girls."
"Doin' Some Things"
"Runaway"

I'm not sure if any of this post has made any sense. I've been drifting in and out of sleep and am now giving up on trying to maintain coherence. G'nite.

New Rock Band Tuesday Poster

A little while ago, I posted my progress on a new Rock Band poster for Ground Kontrol. Well after agonizing over how slow my computer was, getting a new computer, and agonizing how slow even THAT one is, I have finally birthed a finished product (that is, until Anthony gets back to me with tweaks I should make).

Progress report

I really really want to try to keep this blog a regular thing, so I'm posting a progress of what I'm working on currently (although the heat in my room is already making sitting in front of a computer a very arduous task).

I'm doing another poster for Ground Kontrol's Rock Band Tuesday. The goal this time was to make a poster that at first glance seems like a poster for an actual band. I'm doing a throwback to 60's and 70's psychedelic art with this multi armed goddess of simulated rock. I'm feel I'm getting better with the brush (pen) work, although I quickly discovered I like the vellum bristol for pen only and will probably pick up some smooth bristol for brushy work.
